New hope for easing cancer Patients' breathing struggles

NCT ID NCT04914598

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a drug called Endostar to standard cisplatin treatment works better than cisplatin alone for controlling malignant pleural effusion or ascites—painful fluid buildup in the chest or abdomen caused by cancer. It involves about 290 adults with cancer whose fluid buildup isn't controlled by previous treatments. The main goal is to see if the combination helps patients go longer without needing painful fluid drainage procedures.
