Could one shot for boys help wipe out HPV in a community?
NCT ID NCT04953130
Summary
This study is testing if adding a single-dose HPV vaccine for teenage boys to the existing national vaccination program for girls can further reduce the spread of HPV in Tanzanian communities. It will compare infection rates in areas where only girls are vaccinated to areas where both boys and girls are vaccinated. The goal is to see if vaccinating both genders is a more effective way to prevent HPV-related diseases.
