Scientists test a pill that could give men a new contraceptive option

NCT ID NCT03455075

Summary

This study tested whether a daily pill could be a safe and effective form of birth control for men. Researchers gave 92 healthy men different doses of an experimental drug, either alone or combined with another hormone, for 12 weeks. The main goal was to see if the pill could reliably and temporarily lower sperm count to a level that prevents pregnancy.
