Summary

This study tested a malaria prevention program for infants and young children in three African countries. It gave up to six doses of a preventive malaria medicine during routine childhood vaccination visits in the first two years of life. The goal was to see if this was a practical and effective way to protect children from malaria, a leading cause of death in the region.
