First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested a strategy of rotating four different malaria drugs across 28 health facilities in western Kenya over 28 months. Researchers checked if this approach was practical, affordable, and accepted by patients and health workers. They also tracked genetic changes in malaria parasites to see if drug resistance was emerging. The goal was to find better ways to treat malaria and slow down resistance.
