Treating whole towns to stop malaria in kids
NCT ID NCT07358767
Summary
This study tested a community-wide approach to reduce malaria. Researchers gave anti-malaria medicine to everyone in participating households, including people who felt fine, to see if this would lower the overall amount of malaria parasite in the area. The goal was to reduce infections, especially in vulnerable children under 15 and pregnant women, by stopping the parasite from spreading via mosquitoes.
