First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at how four types of instant maize porridge affect feelings of fullness and appetite. Fifty healthy adults aged 18-35 with normal weight took part. They ate the porridges after fasting overnight, and researchers measured their hunger, fullness, and related hormones like leptin and ghrelin. The goal was to see if whole-grain maize helps people feel full longer.
