Summary
This study is testing whether taking maitake mushroom supplements alongside standard cancer treatments like chemotherapy can help improve patients' immune function and quality of life. Researchers will measure changes in blood cell counts, inflammation markers, and patient-reported well-being over 16 weeks. The trial involves 40 adults in Ontario, Canada who are currently receiving cancer treatment.
