Could Mail-Order medicine help people stay in opioid treatment?
NCT ID NCT07421102
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether mailing buprenorphine medication directly to patients' homes helps people with opioid addiction stay in treatment after leaving the hospital. The research aims to overcome common barriers like transportation problems and pharmacy access. The study will track 20 patients to see if home delivery is practical, acceptable to patients, and helps them continue treatment.
