Can a magnolia supplement calm psoriasis inflammation?
NCT ID NCT07471048
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a daily magnolia bark supplement (Viv) can reduce immune-related blood markers in adults with psoriasis. One hundred participants will take either the supplement or a placebo for three months. Researchers will measure changes in inflammatory proteins and immune cells from blood samples collected at home.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Magnolia officinalis bark extract (200 mg oral supplement)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a natural supplement that helps control psoriasis by lowering inflammation.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage trial with only 100 people, testing blood markers—not symptoms. The supplement may have no real effect, and results may not lead to a proven treatment.
