Magnets replace knives: new procedure eases stomach blockages
NCT ID NCT07609511
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a special magnet system to create a new passage between the stomach and small intestine in people with gastric outlet obstruction (a blockage that prevents food from leaving the stomach). The goal is to relieve symptoms without traditional surgery. Ten adults who need a gastroenterostomy will be enrolled to see if the magnets pass naturally and create a lasting opening.
