Magnetic pulses tested to stop embarrassing leaks

NCT ID NCT05735522

Summary

This study tested whether a non-invasive magnetic stimulation treatment could help women with urgency urinary incontinence, the type that causes a sudden, uncontrollable need to urinate. Seventy women were randomly assigned to receive either the real magnetic treatment or a sham (fake) treatment to compare results. The goal was to see if magnetic pulses aimed at the pelvic floor muscles could reduce leaks, decrease bathroom trips, and improve quality of life.
