Magnetic pulses to the brain tested as depression treatment
NCT ID NCT05516095
Summary
This study tested whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique could reduce symptoms of depression. 73 adults with moderate depression received either real or placebo magnetic stimulation to a specific brain area for two weeks. Researchers measured changes in depression, thinking skills, and brain activity to see if the treatment worked and why it might help some people more than others.
