First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding magnesium to standard nerve blocks can better control pain after a mastectomy. Sixty women having breast removal surgery will receive either the standard nerve block or one with added magnesium. The goal is to see if the magnesium helps reduce both short-term and long-term pain, and lowers the need for strong painkillers like morphine.
