Common mineral tested for C-Section pain relief
NCT ID NCT07528612
First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests if a common medicine, magnesium, can reduce pain after a C-section. 150 women having planned or non-urgent C-sections will receive either magnesium or a saltwater drip after delivery. Neither they nor their doctors will know which they got. Pain, recovery, and bonding with the baby will be tracked for three months. The goal is to see if magnesium improves pain relief and speeds recovery.
