ER trial seeks better relief for kids in severe asthma distress

Summary
This study aims to find out if giving an intravenous (IV) magnesium drip early helps children who are still struggling to breathe after initial emergency asthma treatment. It will compare magnesium to a placebo (saltwater) in about 192 children aged 2-17. The main goal is to see if magnesium leads to measurably easier breathing two hours after the infusion starts.
