Could a simple magnesium shot ease severe asthma attacks in kids?

Summary
This study looks at whether giving magnesium through an IV early on can reduce breathing trouble in children aged 2 to 17 who still have moderate-to-severe asthma after standard emergency treatment. About 192 children will be randomly assigned to receive either magnesium or a placebo. The main goal is to see if magnesium leads to greater improvement in a validated breathing score two hours after treatment.
