Summary

This study looked at whether giving children magnesium by mouth before tonsil surgery could reduce confusion and agitation when they wake up from anesthesia. 120 children aged 4 to 7 took part. Half received magnesium and half received a placebo. The researchers measured agitation levels in the recovery room.
