Magnesium pills tested for blood pressure drop
NCT ID NCT03688503
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether taking a magnesium supplement (480 mg daily for 12 weeks) could lower blood pressure in adults with untreated high blood pressure. 59 participants were randomly assigned to receive either magnesium or a placebo. The goal was to see if magnesium could help control blood pressure, but it is not a cure—people would still need ongoing management.
