Blood test may spot hidden testicular cancer, study hopes

NCT ID NCT06060873

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a blood test that measures a substance called miRNA-371 can accurately detect active testicular cancer in men who may have the disease. About 418 men whose testicular cancer was already removed will give blood samples before surgery to check for cancer spread. The goal is to see if the blood test can predict what doctors find during surgery, potentially reducing the need for more invasive procedures in the future.
