Smart radiation aims to zap liver tumors with fewer side effects

NCT ID NCT05027711

First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 27, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether a newer, more precise type of radiation (MR-guided adaptive radiotherapy) can treat liver tumors that have spread from other cancers with fewer side effects than standard radiation. About 90 adults with 1 to 3 small liver metastases will be enrolled. The key goal is to see if the new approach reduces serious stomach or liver side effects while still controlling the tumors.
