First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests a new injectable gel made from donated amniotic tissue to close large macular holes, a cause of vision loss. It compares the gel to the standard inverted flap surgery in 26 adults. The goal is to see if the gel is easier to use and just as effective at sealing the hole and improving eyesight.
