First seen Nov 16, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study at Stanford University is testing whether a computer program can help doctors predict which patients with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) will benefit from a procedure called ablation. About 120 adults who are already scheduled for ablation will have their data analyzed by the machine learning tool. The goal is to see if the computer can accurately forecast treatment success and identify the best spots to treat.
