Targeted radiation added to chemo tested for older lymphoma patients
NCT ID NCT00690560
Summary
This study tested a two-step treatment for older adults (65-80) newly diagnosed with a type of aggressive lymphoma. First, patients received a standard chemotherapy regimen. If they responded, they then received a second, targeted radiation treatment designed to seek out and kill remaining cancer cells. The goal was to see if this combined approach could better control the disease and prevent it from coming back.
