New surgery aims to stop painful swelling before it starts
NCT ID NCT05992909
Summary
This study is testing if performing a special bypass procedure during lymph node removal surgery can prevent a painful, chronic swelling condition called lymphedema. Researchers will observe 20 adult patients undergoing this surgery to see if the early intervention is safe and effective. The goal is to prevent the problem rather than treat it after it develops.
