Can simple massage ease the painful swelling from cancer treatment?

NCT ID NCT07215169

Summary

This is a small pilot study to see if a future larger trial is possible. It will test two different schedules of a gentle self-massage technique called manual lymphatic drainage. The goal is to see if this massage can reduce swelling in the face and neck (lymphedema) that sometimes happens after radiation treatment for throat cancer. The study will involve 40 people to check if patients can stick to the massage routines and if the measurements work.
