First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at whether people with lymphedema (chronic swelling) have higher levels of a blood fat called lipoprotein(a), which is linked to heart attacks and strokes. Researchers will test 100 adults with lymphedema to confirm early findings that this marker is more common in them. The goal is to better understand the connection between lymphedema and heart disease risk.
