Blue dye could reveal hidden surgical damage to cut complications
NCT ID NCT07499206
Summary
This study is testing if using a special blue dye during common groin vascular surgeries can help surgeons see and immediately treat tiny, normally invisible injuries to lymphatic vessels. The goal is to see if this simple step can reduce painful wound complications like fluid collections and infections that often require longer hospital stays or even more surgery. Researchers will enroll 60 adult patients to gather initial data for a larger future trial.
