First-Ever trial tests if removing lymph nodes helps control rare kidney cancer

NCT ID NCT06262516

Summary

This study aims to find out if removing lymph nodes during surgery for a rare type of kidney and urinary tract cancer helps prevent the cancer from coming back. Researchers will compare two groups of patients: one that has the standard surgery and another that has the standard surgery plus lymph node removal. The main goal is to see which approach leads to better long-term control of the disease over two years.
