First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at whether removing lymph nodes during surgery for a rare kidney cancer (upper tract urothelial carcinoma) helps prevent the cancer from coming back. About 94 adults will be randomly assigned to have standard surgery alone or with lymph node removal. The main goal is to see if the extra step improves survival without cancer returning.
