First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at whether removing nearby lymph nodes during standard surgery for a rare kidney and ureter cancer (upper tract urothelial carcinoma) helps prevent the cancer from coming back. About 150 adults with high-risk cancer will be randomly assigned to get either the standard surgery alone or with lymph node removal. Researchers will track their health for up to 10 years to compare survival and side effects.
