Summary

This study tested a special method called xenodiagnosis to see if Lyme disease bacteria can survive antibiotic treatment. Researchers placed clean ticks on the skin of 45 people who had or never had Lyme disease. The ticks were later checked for the bacteria. The goal was to understand why some people feel sick long after treatment.
