NCT ID NCT04038346

First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study aimed to see if taking NSAIDs (like naproxen) on a regular schedule could reduce joint pain and swelling in children with Lyme arthritis, and possibly prevent long-term arthritis. Only 3 participants were enrolled before the study was stopped early. The approach was to compare scheduled NSAIDs, acetaminophen, or a switch from NSAIDs to acetaminophen after one week.
