Tracking heart pump patients for clues to better survival
NCT ID NCT07382284
Summary
This study follows 300 patients with severe, end-stage heart failure who receive a mechanical heart pump (LVAD) as part of their standard care. Researchers will track their health, survival, and complications for 3-5 years to understand long-term outcomes. They will also analyze small tissue and blood samples, taken during routine care, to look for biological factors linked to how well patients do.
