New surgery may offer hope for cancer survivors with chronic swelling
NCT ID NCT06082349
First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study compares a microsurgery called lymphaticovenous anastomosis (LVA) to a sham surgery for cancer survivors with long-term arm or leg swelling (lymphedema). About 110 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either LVA or a placebo surgery. The goal is to see if LVA improves daily function and reduces swelling better than the sham procedure.
