First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a targeted drug called luvometinib to standard chemotherapy works better than chemotherapy alone for children with severe multisystem Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH). LCH is a rare immune cell disorder that can damage multiple organs and often comes back after treatment. About 120 children aged 0-18 with newly diagnosed, untreated multisystem LCH will be randomly assigned to one of two treatment groups. The goal is to see if the combination improves event-free survival and reduces relapse rates.
