Summary
This study tested whether luteolin, a natural compound found in foods like celery and chamomile tea, could help improve symptoms and thinking problems in people with schizophrenia. For 12 weeks, 85 participants with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder took either luteolin capsules or a placebo. Researchers wanted to see if this anti-inflammatory compound could reduce symptoms and improve mental function.
