Could a liver artery injection boost cancer treatment?
NCT ID NCT04544098
First seen May 08, 2026 ยท Last updated May 08, 2026
Summary
This early-phase study tests if giving the drug Lutathera directly into the liver's main artery is safe and practical for people with neuroendocrine tumors that have spread mostly to the liver. Ten adults with this type of cancer will receive two injections into the liver artery, and researchers will compare this to the standard arm vein method. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and can shrink tumors.
