Summary

This study is testing the effectiveness and safety of giving the highest approved dose of the drug luspatercept to people with a lower-risk form of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) who need regular red blood cell transfusions. The main goal is to see if the treatment can help patients become independent from transfusions for at least 8 weeks while also improving their hemoglobin levels. It involves about 106 participants and is in the final stage (Phase 3) of clinical testing.
