New lupus drug study aims to tame disease and cut steroid dependence

Summary
This study is observing how well the drug anifrolumab works for people with systemic lupus in real-world Italian clinics. It aims to see if patients can achieve a state of very low disease activity while also reducing their daily steroid dose to 5mg or less. The study will follow 218 adults with lupus who are starting anifrolumab treatment for the first time.
