Can a 6-Week class help black women take control of lupus?
NCT ID NCT02988661
Summary
This study tested whether a community-based self-management education program could help African American women with lupus feel better and use healthcare services less. 699 women participated, with some attending a 6-week class series and others receiving usual care for comparison. Researchers measured changes in symptoms, confidence, stress, and hospital visits over 18 months to see if the program made a difference.
