New blood test could replace painful kidney biopsies for lupus patients
NCT ID NCT07505576
Summary
This study aims to find a better blood test to monitor kidney inflammation in people with lupus nephritis. Researchers will measure a specific antibody in the blood of 96 participants and compare it to kidney biopsy results. The goal is to see if this test can detect active kidney disease more accurately than current blood tests, potentially reducing the need for repeated invasive biopsies.
