Researchers track lupus drug in breast milk to protect babies

Summary
This study aims to understand how much of the lupus medication anifrolumab passes into breast milk and reaches nursing infants. It will enroll 16 breastfeeding mothers who are already taking this drug for their lupus. Researchers will collect breast milk and blood samples from mothers and babies over about one month to measure drug levels and monitor for any side effects.
