Scientists search for lupus clues in immune cell blueprints

NCT ID NCT00401141

Summary

This completed study aimed to understand how immune cells called B lymphocytes differ in people with inactive systemic lupus erythematosus compared to healthy people. Researchers analyzed the gene activity profiles of these purified cells from 30 participants. The goal was to identify underlying abnormalities that might contribute to the disease, not to test a treatment.
