Scientists investigate why lupus patients age prematurely
NCT ID NCT05698173
Summary
This study aims to understand why people with lupus might experience faster aging of their immune system compared to healthy individuals. Researchers will compare blood samples from 50 lupus patients with age-matched healthy volunteers to measure immune cell aging markers. The study is observational only - it won't test treatments but seeks to explain why lupus patients face higher risks of age-related health problems.
