First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a surgery called lunocapitate fusion for people with SNAC wrist, a painful condition caused by an untreated scaphoid fracture. The surgery aims to reduce pain and improve wrist function by fusing two wrist bones. Researchers will follow 35 adults for 12 months to see how well the surgery works and if it is safe.

What this could lead to

If successful, this surgery could become a standard option for treating SNAC wrist, offering pain relief and better wrist movement without needing more complex procedures.
