Back surgery breathing breakthrough? new ventilation method tested

Summary
This study looks at whether adjusting a breathing machine based on real-time lung stiffness can reduce lung problems after back surgery. About 71 adults having lumbar stabilization surgery will be randomly assigned to either this new method or standard care. The main goal is to see if the new approach leads to better lung function after surgery.
