New scan could replace risky biopsies for lung transplant patients
NCT ID NCT04582279
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple lung ultrasound can safely detect rejection or infection in lung transplant patients, without needing invasive biopsies. Researchers will compare ultrasound results to the standard biopsy procedure in 90 adult transplant recipients who feel well. The goal is to find a cheaper, safer way to monitor patients after their transplant.
