Ultrasound could speed Life-Saving treatment for struggling preemies

NCT ID NCT07442669

Summary

This study is testing if using a special lung ultrasound score can help doctors diagnose severe breathing problems in premature babies more quickly. The goal is to get a key treatment called surfactant to these vulnerable infants faster than the current standard method. Researchers will compare outcomes for 100 babies to see if this ultrasound-guided approach leads to better short-term breathing results.
