First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study compares three treatments for lung tumors: surgery, targeted radiation (SBRT), and minimally invasive thermal ablation (using heat or cold to destroy tumors). About 100 adults with early-stage lung cancer or limited lung metastases will be followed for two years to see which approach best controls cancer while preserving breathing function and quality of life. The goal is to help doctors choose the best treatment for each patient.
